On the 15th of December 2011 we had the launch of the Toitoy x Puma collaboration that took place at our shop in Cape Town.We selected 12 Local artists gave them a blank 4" Mini munny from Kidrobot and a pair of Puma High top sneakers to customise. The Theme was "The streets you live on".
What can i say about the quality of the works produced, they are fantastic.
Puma SA contacted me to advise that we have been asked to send all 12 customs to "The Middle East's International Sneaker Summit" in Dubai on 27/28th April 2012.
I would like to thank all 12 designers for their amazing work, and am so proud to be part of this incredible group of upcoming artists.
The Artist involved are: The Given , Kronk , Samantha Breakspear , Ivana Raguz , Wihan Mouton , Dave Maclennan , Frank Skullboy , Greg Darroll , Soledesign , Atang Tshikore , Hanna Hughes and Illana DeJager.

Yesterday i was surprised with a visit to our shop by Triclopsapeman and his wife, they are in Cape Town on honeymoon.
Had an amazing chat with them while a doodle was done for the shop. Then took them to Hout Bay to a indoor market and met up with Mark from Hellovinyl now known as MarkKegKing had a few beers and then back to their hotel.
How we wish we could meet up with more artists down here at the bottom of Africa.

We've been hinting at them for weeks now.... Huck Gee's candy colored skulls drop Sep 13th at 11am PST. Nicocato’s Incredible 3-inch Dunny Collection

Hardcore art toy collector, Nicolas Caldas aka Nicocato is notorious on the Kidrobot Forums for his epic collection of 3-inch Dunnys. He first saw the little art toys in a shop in Colombia and then after a trip to New York and flying back with some blind boxes and a 20-inch Touma Dunny in the seat next to him, he was hooked. The Colombian born, Puerto Rico based collector is on a mad mission to complete every produced 3-inch set and rare exclusive. Not to mention, he has a budding custom collection as well. We caught up with Nico and picked his brain a bit about his lovely little vinyl addiction.

Red Cross Childern's Hospital Art Benefit.

On Saturday 3rd September 2011 was the Red Cross Children's Hospital Art Benefit was held at Leeuenhof in Cape Town. This event is to raise funds for the burns unit at the hospital.

Together with Kidrobot and Kronk we donated 2 toys. One was a Killjoy and the other was a 18" Diy Munny that the kids drew on. They fetched R40 000.00 ($5650.00).Many thanks to all that where involved in this great event.

These are really great toys with so much character.There is the white cupcake that smells like vanilla and the brown cupcake that smells like chocolate.

The amazing live art keeps pouring into to our Las Vegas Pop-Up shop in the Cosmopolitan’s P3 Studios with Travis Lampe joining us this weekend. The Dunny Series 2011 artist will be laying down some brilliant brushwork on a pair of Mega MUNNYs and a pair of extra large custom Teardrops starting Friday, August 12 from 6-9pm. Creative processes will resume on Saturday, August 13 from 12-3pm and 6-9pm. Travis will then lay down the final touches on Sunday, August 14 from 12-3pm.

Mega MUNNY Painting Party To Benefit Children’s Hospital

Killjoy Dunny creator, Kronk and South African vinyl shop, ToiToy with support from Kidrobot, hosted a very special Mega MUNNY painting party this past week to benefit the Children’s Hospital Trust in Cape Town. This Red Cross media release event, spearheaded by Amanda Bloch, brought the creative hometown hero closer to the kids as he collaborated on the 18-inch platform toy. The visually vibrant custom is set to be auctioned off at an Art Benefit on September 3 to support funding for improvements to the hospital.

This art benefit will be held on Saturday 3rd September 2011 and i will be there and will keep you all posted.

Red cross children's hospital.

Today was a very special day for me. Together with Kidrobot and Kronk, we held a media release event, for an upcoming Art benefit to be held on Saturday 3rd September 2011, to raise funds for the Red Cross Children's Hospital.

The patron of the event is Amanda Bloch, who has been working to improve the facilities at this amazing hospital that caters for children's medical needs.

Today, thanks to Kidrobot's generous donation toward this cause, Kronk and I went to the hospital. There, together with the children and staff, we created a custom toy to be auctioned at the art benefit, to raise funds for another improvement to the hospital.

Our main attraction was a 12 year old boy named Willem who has had both of his arms amputated, due to being so badly burnt when he climbed an electrical pilon to get to a birds nest.Willem now draws with his mouth and feet - a skill that was amazing to witness.
